Elijah Blue Allman — the son of music icon Cher and the late Southern rock legend Greg Allman — is back in headlines after a Friday night arrest at an exclusive prep school in New Hampshire.
According to the Concord Police Department, officers were called to St. Paul’s School in Concord just before 7 p.m. local time after reports of an unwanted guest on campus. Authorities say a man identified as Elijah was inside the dining hall “causing a disturbance and acting belligerently.”
Police took him into custody at the scene.
Elijah was later booked into the Merrimack County Jail and charged with two counts of simple assault, along with one count each of criminal trespass, criminal threatening and disorderly conduct.
He was processed and released on personal recognizance, meaning he did not have to post bail. An arraignment date is expected to be scheduled.
Officials say Elijah has no known connection to the prestigious boarding school, and it remains unclear why he was there. He is primarily based in Southern California.
The arrest comes less than a year after a string of personal and legal turmoil.
In June 2025, Elijah was rushed to the hospital following an overdose at his home. Authorities were reportedly called at the time due to erratic behavior, and drugs were allegedly found inside the residence.
That incident came roughly two months after his wife of 13 years, Marieangela King, filed for divorce. Their split followed explosive accusations she made in 2024, claiming Cher had orchestrated Elijah’s kidnapping — allegations the “Strong Enough” singer has strongly denied.
The family drama escalated in December 2023 when Cher filed for a conservatorship over her son, arguing he was “substantially unable to manage his own financial resources” due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues. She also accused Marieangela of preventing Elijah from getting the treatment she believed he needed.
However, Cher ultimately dismissed the conservatorship case at the end of 2024.
So far, there has been no public comment from Cher’s representatives regarding Elijah’s latest arrest.
With past hospitalizations, divorce battles and legal filings already drawing national attention, this newest incident adds yet another chapter to an already complicated and very public family saga.
