Influencer and content creator Yarely Ashley Hermosillo has tragically died after being struck by a stray bullet during a road rage shooting in Glendale, Arizona. She was just 27 years old.
Hermosillo, who built a following of more than 300,000 fans across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for her cooking and lifestyle videos, was riding in a pickup truck with her boyfriend, their young son, and her mother on Friday, Aug. 15, when the shooting occurred.
According to Glendale police, 33-year-old Jesus Preciado Dousten began arguing with the driver of another pickup truck while stopped at a red light. As tensions escalated, Dousten allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired a shot. The bullet traveled through the passenger window of Hermosillo’s vehicle and struck her in the head, even though she was not involved in the confrontation.
Her boyfriend, who was driving, rushed her to the hospital, but Hermosillo later died from her injuries. Miraculously, her son and mother, who were in the backseat, were not physically harmed.
Police say detectives used footage from multiple surveillance cameras to track Dousten down. After searching a Glendale residence, investigators recovered two handguns and arrested him at his apartment. He is being held on a $1 million bond and faces multiple charges, including second-degree murder, aggravated assault, misconduct involving weapons, and endangerment.
In a GoFundMe organized by Hermosillo’s family, she was remembered as “a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a beautiful soul whose light touched everyone who knew her.” The tribute highlights the devastating impact of her loss, especially on her 4-year-old son, writing: “Yarely’s greatest joy in life was being a mother, and she poured her heart into caring for her little boy.”
Her family is now left grappling with an unimaginable tragedy while her fans continue to share messages of love and heartbreak across social media. They say they are forever grateful for the prayers, donations, and support pouring in as they work to honor her memory.
