A night of pro wrestling theatrics in New York took a wild turn when a fan at ringside suddenly found herself caught in the middle of the action — thanks to a flying boot.
During a House of Glory event last weekend, wrestler Charles “The Root of All Evil” Mason stunned the crowd when he launched a kick that appeared to strike a woman sitting ringside.
The chaotic moment happened mid-match as Mason faced Andrade El Ídolo, the former WWE star who now competes for AEW. At one point during the bout, El Ídolo stepped away from the ring to interact with fans, grabbing a woman’s phone and posing for a quick selfie video.
But just as he handed the phone back, Mason charged in — and his airborne foot collided in the same space where the fan had been standing.

House of Glory later shared the clip on social media, writing: “Andrade went for the selfie. Mason went for the jugular. The most shocking moment of the night. NYC will never forget this one.”
Commentators were stunned in real time.
“Oh my God! He just broke that person’s bottle, and Andrade can’t believe what he saw!” one shouted during the broadcast.
El Ídolo quickly responded inside the ring, delivering a hard kick of his own to Mason as the crowd erupted.
Online, fans were split over what they witnessed. Some questioned whether the moment was part of the show, while others were concerned about the woman’s safety.
“Damn it’s dangerous ringside,” one viewer wrote.
“I hope she’s okay,” another commented.
After forcing Mason back toward the ring, El Ídolo rushed to check on the fan. Cameras showed him embracing her as she appeared to smile, suggesting she may not have been seriously hurt.
Mason later reposted the video on Instagram with a controversial caption that drew criticism. When someone asked in the comments whether the woman was actually hurt, he responded with a flippant remark, further fueling debate online.
Despite the chaos, El Ídolo went on to win the match by pinfall.
The two wrestlers have history. Last year, El Ídolo made a surprise appearance at House of Glory’s Winter Warfare event, dramatically revealing himself after Mason had defended his championship against Mustafa Ali.
