A resurfaced clip of late The Price Is Right host Bob Barker is blowing up online after footage from an E! documentary appeared to show him acting visibly uncomfortable around Black contestants during his time on the long-running game show.
The viral moment comes from E!’s Dirty Rotten Scandals: The Price Is Right and has social media buzzing. In one clip, Barker appears to pull away from a Black contestant trying to hug him and can be heard shouting, “Don’t attack me!” The moment has now been widely shared across X, where users are reacting with a mix of shock, criticism, and disbelief.

The documentary also features an interview with a woman who claims Barker once gave an “order” that only two Black contestants be featured per episode or taping. That allegation has added even more fuel to the controversy now spreading online.
Barker was the face of The Price Is Right for 35 years, hosting the hit game show from 1972 until his retirement in 2007. For many viewers, he was a familiar and beloved TV presence for decades. But these resurfaced clips are now causing some people to take a much darker look at his legacy.
Social media users have been posting the footage nonstop, with many calling the clips disturbing while others pointed out how uncomfortable the moments were to watch. Some users also referenced the documentary interview, saying it painted an even more troubling picture of what may have been happening behind the scenes during that era of television.
Younger fans or casual viewers may remember Barker more from his memorable cameo in Adam Sandler’s 1996 comedy Happy Gilmore, where he hilariously fought Sandler’s character on a golf course in one of the film’s most iconic scenes.
Barker died on August 26, 2023, at the age of 99. But now, nearly three years after his death, old footage tied to his time on The Price Is Right is suddenly putting him back in the spotlight for a very different reason.
