A teenage beauty queen is going viral after an onstage mishap could have totally derailed her big pageant moment — but instead, she powered through like a pro.
Kamolwan Chanago, 18, was competing in the Miss Grand Thailand 2026 preliminaries on Wednesday, March 25, when her veneers suddenly came loose while she was delivering her speech onstage in Bangkok, Thailand.
Video of the awkward moment shows Chanago speaking confidently before her words suddenly become muffled as the top veneers shift in her mouth. For a split second, it looked like the pageant nightmare every contestant would dread had just unfolded in real time.

But Chanago did not panic.
Instead, she quickly turned around, appeared to adjust the veneers, and then snapped right back into pageant mode. With a flawless poker face, she continued her walk across the stage as if nothing had happened.
Wearing a sparkly pink gown and a fur shawl, Chanago smiled through the moment, strutted confidently, delivered a two-part twirl, struck several poses, and exited the stage to applause from the crowd.
The audience seemed just as impressed by her recovery as they were by her look.
One spectator reportedly said, “She handled this better than most of us handle a bad hair day. Is this the most iconic pageant moment ever?”
Another reacted with secondhand embarrassment, saying, “How embarrassing. I would die. It’s so impressive she carried on like nothing had happened.”
A spokesperson for Miss Grand International later confirmed the incident, saying Chanago experienced a minor and unexpected issue when her veneer teeth became dislodged during her onstage introduction.
The spokesperson added that she handled the moment with professionalism and composure, and said the event continued smoothly without disruption. Organizers also praised her confidence and stage presence throughout the competition.
Chanago is one of 77 contestants competing for the Miss Grand Thailand 2026 crown. The winner will go on to represent Thailand at the Miss Grand International 2026 pageant, which is scheduled to take place in India this October.
The Miss Grand Thailand finale is set for March 28 at MGI Hall in Bangkok.
