Disney actress Carla Jeffery, best known for playing Bree in the hit “Zombies” franchise, has died at just 33 years old.
Jeffery’s death was announced Wednesday by her manager, Carla Alexander, who shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old,” Alexander wrote.
A cause of death has not been revealed.
Alexander told KTLA that additional information about Jeffery’s death is expected to be released in the coming days.
Jeffery had been working in Hollywood since she was a child.
She was just 12 years old when she made her screen debut in the 2006 comedy “Phat Girlz,” starring Mo’Nique.
The following year, Jeffery joined HBO’s hit comedy “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” appearing in 10 episodes across the show’s sixth and seventh seasons.
She later became a familiar face to Disney Channel viewers.
Beginning in 2011, Jeffery landed recurring roles on several popular Disney shows, including “Good Luck Charlie,” “Shake It Up!” and “Best Friends Whenever.”
Her biggest role came in 2018 when she appeared as Bree in Disney’s “Zombies,” the musical movie that became a major hit with younger audiences.
Jeffery went on to play one of the franchise’s central characters throughout the “Zombies” musical trilogy, helping make her a recognizable star among a generation of Disney fans.
News of her death comes as a shock to fans, particularly because of her young age.
The Daily Beast reported that it has contacted Jeffery’s representative for additional comment.
For now, no further details surrounding her death have been made public.
