Jennifer Lopez is once again the talk of the internet after a headline-grabbing performance at the American Music Awards on Monday night. The pop superstar didn’t just hit the stage—she owned it, opening the night with a high-energy, six-minute medley packed with hits and a few jaw-dropping surprises.
The 54-year-old icon started things off with a short tease of her track “Dance Again” before launching into a slickly choreographed routine featuring some of 2024’s biggest songs. Her set included everything from Chappell Roan’s “Hot to Go” and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” to Kendrick Lamar’s viral hit “Not Like Us.”
But it was her dance to Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” that had viewers doing double takes. Mid-performance, Lopez’s backup dancers began approaching her one by one—each planting a kiss on her in a moment that quickly lit up social media.

“Why is Jennifer Lopez kissing everybody at the #AMAs?” one viewer wrote on X. Another joked, “J Lo kissing girls wasn’t on my bingo card.”
The bold move stirred plenty of laughs and gasps online, but fans also praised her for continuing to set the standard for stage presence and stamina.
“This lady is almost 56 years old and performing better than people half her age. Damn. Damn. DAMN,” one fan wrote.
Lopez not only performed but also hosted the show, marking the AMAs’ return after a two-year break. In true J.Lo fashion, she brought glamour, energy, and a sense of celebration to the night.

In addition to her own performance, legends like Janet Jackson and Gloria Estefan made special appearances. Jackson gave her first televised performance since 2018, while Estefan lit up the stage with a medley of her greatest hits.
Speaking to People ahead of the event, Lopez said she was looking forward to honoring her peers. “I really am a believer in lifting other people up and celebrating great work,” she said. “I love artists and getting to know them and being around them.”

Is it just me or are these concerts and music shows getting more perverted each year? Disgusting.
