Vanna White may be best known for turning letters on Wheel of Fortune, but her son just showed fans another side of her: full mom mode.
White’s son, Nikko Santo Pietro, shared a funny video on Instagram of his famous mom helping him deal with something on his back using a needle.
“I hate needles, and this is my mom popping something on my back,” Nikko said at the start of the May 28 clip.
The video then showed Nikko sitting at a table with his shirt pulled up while White prepared to help. He dipped a cloth in rubbing alcohol and handed it to his mom.
“I just put alcohol on it,” White said.
“Well, do it again,” Nikko replied.
“It’s sterilized. See?” White told him, holding up the cloth for the camera.
Nikko laughed nervously as he leaned over the table, clearly bracing himself for what was coming next.
“You need a flashlight or something?” he asked.
White could not help but tease him.
“He’s acting like he’s seven years old right now,” she joked.
Then, wearing her glasses and leaning close to his back, White carefully poked at the spot with a needle.
“Oh, you got it,” Nikko said.
White was not convinced at first, but apparently she had.
Nikko yelped, laughed, and said she had poked him four times. When she went in one more time, he shouted “Ow!” and cursed.
White then dabbed more rubbing alcohol on the area, which made him jump in his seat again. The video ended with Nikko folded over the table, laughing through the whole ordeal.

Fans loved seeing the funny mother-son moment, but many had the same complaint: they never actually saw the pop.
“You had one job – to film the actual popping – you failed!” one follower wrote.
“We wanted to see the pop,” another commented.
“Next time, please just record the actual pop,” a third added.
Nikko seemed amused by the feedback.
“That seems to be the common demand, lol,” he replied.
When another fan asked what exactly White had popped, Nikko admitted he was not totally sure.
“I am not sure, but it has a white head,” he wrote.
Others praised White for being willing to step in and help her son, even with the very unglamorous task.
“Vanna! A woman of many talents!” one fan wrote.
Plenty of viewers said they loved the sweet and silly relationship between White and her son, while others said the clip had them laughing hard.
It may not have been the kind of video Wheel of Fortune fans expected from Vanna White, but it definitely proved one thing: even TV legends still do mom jobs when their kids need help.
