Natalie Ng Man-yan, an actress and former Miss Hong Kong contestant who openly shared her breast cancer journey with fans, has died. She was 51.

Ng’s family confirmed her death in a heartbreaking post on her Instagram account on Tuesday, June 9.

“It is with sadness and dedication that we tell you that Nat passed away peacefully in a hospital sleep this morning,” the family wrote.

According to the post, Ng had been admitted to the hospital on Sunday night. Her family said loved ones and close friends visited her in her final days, and a priest came to anoint her before her passing.

“We believe she is with blessings and love, safe to leave, back to the arms of the Father,” the family shared.

Ng first revealed two years ago that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. From there, she regularly updated her followers about her illness, treatments and the difficult emotional and physical toll of her health battle.

In April, Ng posted an update on Facebook explaining that her medications had made her feel extremely sick. Still, she said she was able to enjoy a concert that brought back “memories as a teenager.”

Her family remembered her as someone who stayed brave and hopeful through her diagnosis.

In their tribute, they said Ng had been “strong and brave” during her cancer battle and had done many things she never expected to do.

They also said she had fulfilled dreams while inspiring others facing illness.

“At the same time her positive energy has also infected many fellow travellers to face the disease together,” the family wrote.

The post also thanked everyone who supported Ng throughout her journey.

“Thanks to all the friends who helped and supported her,” the family added.

They asked the public to give the family privacy as they grieve and handle arrangements.

“Please give your family space and peace to handle everything and face this difficult time,” the post said.
