Reality star Jess Wright has revealed her 4-year-old son was airlifted to a hospital after a terrifying bounce house accident at a birthday party.

The Only Way Is Essex alum, 40, shared the frightening update on Instagram Stories on Wednesday, explaining that her son Presley was involved in what she described as a “freak” bouncy castle accident over the weekend.

“We had a really scary thing happen at a bday party on Saturday,” Wright wrote over a photo of Presley sleeping, adding that he had been extra clingy ever since.

According to Wright, Presley was launched off the top of a bouncy castle and landed face down on a hard wooden floor from about 3 meters, or nearly 10 feet, high.

“A noise that silenced the whole party & will haunt me I’m sure,” she wrote.

Wright said her son struggled to breathe and passed out in her arms. After he regained consciousness, Presley and his family were airlifted to a trauma unit in London.

Thankfully, the little boy escaped without serious injuries.

“Miraculously, when we arrived the shock had subsided slightly & pain killers kicked in & a few hours later we were released with no injuries other than a few bruises, a very sore little boy & traumatized parents,” she wrote.

Wright said the scare was especially frightening because Presley was diagnosed at age 2 with a bicuspid aortic valve, a congenital heart condition.

Still, she said the incident appeared to be a freak accident.

“It was a freak accident that couldn’t have been avoided,” she wrote, adding that she plans to be more cautious in the future when a bouncy castle is set up on a wooden floor instead of mats or grass.

“It was a simple accident that could have happened at any point, it’s one of those things,” she added.

Wright thanked the parents at the party and the healthcare workers who helped her family during the emergency.

She also shared a photo of Presley strapped to a gurney with a pacifier in his mouth.

“Scariest day of my life,” she wrote. “Have thanked god every day that he’s ok because it was truly horrendous seeing him in the state he was here & just before.”

A few hours later, Presley was sitting up in his hospital bed and playing games.

“5 hours later & we were playing games grateful for his recovery,” Wright wrote.

Wright shares Presley with her husband, William Lee Kemp. She starred on The Only Way Is Essex from 2010 to 2016.
