Corey Feldman was rushed to the hospital after falling ill during a flight from Chicago to Los Angeles.
The 54-year-old former child star had just landed at LAX on Monday afternoon when paramedics took him to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
According to USA Today, Feldman is now resting while waiting for MRI results.
A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson confirmed that crews responded to the airport to assist a 54-year-old man who was then transported to a hospital.
A source close to Feldman told TMZ that the actor began feeling sick during the flight and was checked by a fellow passenger who happened to be a doctor.
Doctors reportedly believe Feldman may be dealing with pancreatitis or gallstones.
Pancreatitis is inflammation of the pancreas, while gallstones are hardened deposits of digestive fluid that form in the gallbladder and can cause sudden, severe pain when they create a blockage.
Feldman had been in Chicago for an anniversary celebration of Stand By Me, the beloved coming-of-age film directed by Rob Reiner.
The recent death of Reiner has brought several of the movie’s stars back together. Feldman, Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton have been appearing at special screenings across the country to honor the film and its late director.
On his way to Chicago from Indianapolis, Feldman also stopped in Gary, Indiana, the hometown of his late friend Michael Jackson.
Earlier this year, Feldman spoke out after he was not included in the 2026 Academy Awards tribute to Reiner. He compared the moment to “a family reunion I wasn’t invited to,” but later asked supporters not to make the tribute about him.
“I understand many believe it’s due to being outspoken about the abuse I suffered as a child and the campaign to silence me. However, this isn’t about me. It’s not my moment at all. It’s about the tragic loss of our friend Rob Reiner and his memory,” Feldman said.
He added, “As much I appreciate all support, it’s very sweet of you… but please stop. Please take down any petitions to push for my presence at the awards. They don’t need me there. Will and Jerry got this I’m sure. They will do a fantastic job… I’ll honor Rob my own way.”
The Stand By Me cast has faced painful losses before. River Phoenix, who starred alongside Feldman in the film, died in 1993. During a 25th-anniversary screening, Reiner once said it felt like “there should be a chair here for River.”
