Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s marriage is reportedly under fresh strain as money worries continue to mount behind the scenes.

According to new claims, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been having “fiery rows” over their shrinking income and the cost of keeping up their lavish Montecito lifestyle.

Sources claim the couple’s anxiety has grown as major business deals have either faded, changed shape or failed to deliver the kind of money they once expected.

“The atmosphere in Montecito is strained right now,” one source told Heatworld. “The financial reality has finally hit home and Meghan is in panic mode.”

The insider claimed Meghan and Harry need to keep bringing in major income to support their current way of life, but the money is no longer flowing the way it did shortly after they left royal life.

“The fact of the matter is they need to generate as much income as they can to fund their current lifestyle, and the money isn’t coming in as it did before,” the source said.

While the Sussexes may appear extremely wealthy on paper, sources claim their available cash may be far less secure than it looks.

“While they look like millionaires on paper with that $60 million net worth, their actual liquid cash appears to be dwindling,” the insider claimed.

Royal commentator Tom Bower recently described their marriage as being at an “unfortunate crossroads” because of the growing financial pressure.

The couple’s once-massive Netflix deal has reportedly been scaled back in scope. Their original agreement was said to be worth $100 million, but the streaming giant has reportedly shifted toward a first-look development deal rather than guaranteed productions.

Netflix also reportedly discontinued its partnership with Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever.

Harry has brought in money through public speaking, major interviews about his life in the royal family and his memoir, Spare, which became a global bestseller.

But he also faced a major legal bill last year, reportedly believed to be more than $2 million, after losing his challenge to restore taxpayer-funded security for visits to the U.K.

“With Meghan’s lifestyle brand stalling and Harry’s public speaking fees plummeting, their money is dwindling fast,” the source claimed. “It’s a very different outlook to where they were a few years ago.”

The insider alleged that tensions between the couple have reached a breaking point in recent weeks.

“They’ve had a string of heated rows over the last few weeks as tensions have reached tipping point,” the source said.

Meghan, 45, has reportedly told Harry, 41, that she feels cheated by the possibility that their lifestyle may not last.

“She wants him to find something he can do that can contribute to their finances significantly, and stick to it,” the source claimed.

The financial pressure has also fueled speculation about the state of their marriage.

RadarOnline.com recently reported that the couple may be so financially stretched that even a divorce could be too expensive.

“It’s no secret that money is a huge issue for them right now. They are very leveraged,” an insider claimed. “Trying to dismantle all of that, plus paying out all the legal fees for a divorce, would likely bankrupt them. This would be the worst possible time for them to split up.”

The source added that Meghan and Harry continue to insist there is no split coming and that their relationship is strong.

But the insider claimed not everyone is convinced.

“They’re both insisting that’s nowhere near happening and that things are great between them,” the source said. “Not a lot of people are buying that, though. There are too many cracks showing.”

  1. Not sure why he married her or listened to her. He could have stayed a royal and not worried about money.

    1. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. She played him like a fiddle and he dutifully followed like the p-whipped, spoiled brat he is. Got yourself in quite a spot haven’t you Harry?
