Station 19 actor Noah Alexander Gerry has been arrested after police say he was caught painting graffiti on a wall in Burbank, California.
The 28-year-old actor was taken into custody at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Monday, July 13, after officers responded to a wash basin near Parish Place and Pacific Avenue, according to the Burbank Police Department.
Gerry was booked on suspicion of causing more than $400 in property damage and possessing graffiti tools.
Burbank Police Lt. Brent Fekety said a witness reported seeing two people inside the wash, with at least one of them allegedly applying paint to a wall.
“There were two people that were in the wash,” Fekety explained. “A witness was observing at least one of them apply paint to a wall and officers arrived and detained both individuals and one was arrested for applying graffiti to the wall and that one person was Noah Gerry.”
According to Fekety, Gerry allegedly painted the word “Alec” on the wall. The actor reportedly told officers that the name was a nickname belonging to the friend who was with him.
Gerry is best known for playing Joey Phillips on ABC’s Station 19, the popular Grey’s Anatomy spinoff. The firefighter drama was canceled ahead of its seventh and final season, which aired in 2024.
His television career also includes appearances in Fuller House, Grown-ish, A.N.T. Farm, Henry Danger, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin and Grey’s Anatomy.
Gerry has also appeared in At Her Feet and The Young and the Restless, according to IMDb.
Although he is widely recognized as an actor, Gerry’s current occupation was listed as musician in Burbank’s daily arrest log.
His longtime manager, Susie Mains, quickly came to his defense, describing Gerry as a talented professional and insisting the alleged incident was not representative of who he is.
“Noah is an outstanding person and a true professional,” Mains said in a statement to PEOPLE. “He can play any role including a bad boy but he is not that in real life. He is a true creative and artist.”
Mains also revealed that Gerry is a founding member of an art collective called GAG!, which stands for Gallery Attendance Gallery.
She maintained that Gerry does not support illegal behavior and suggested the arrest may have stemmed from a misunderstanding.
“He does not encourage or participate in illegal or dangerous activities,” Mains said. “In this case, it seems to have been a misunderstanding.”
The case is now expected to be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which will decide whether formal charges should be filed.
