Two well-known Beverly Hills plastic surgeons, including Botched star Dr. Paul Nassif, were targeted in an alleged burglary scheme involving a woman who posed as a construction worker, according to local reporting.

The incidents happened July 30 inside a medical office building on South Spalding Drive in Beverly Hills.

Dr. Garth Fisher, known for appearing on Extreme Makeover, and Nassif both have offices in the building.

Authorities are searching for a woman accused of using the same unusual story to gain access to multiple offices.

According to staff members, the woman claimed she was connected to construction work taking place in the building and said she needed to check the water pressure.

Because the building was undergoing construction, employees reportedly had little reason to suspect anything was wrong.

At Fisher’s office, a staff member said the woman even pointed to a logo on her shirt to make her story appear legitimate.

She was escorted through several rooms while checking sinks and toilets.

One of the bathrooms she visited was located near Fisher’s private office.

After appearing to complete her work, the woman left.

But a short time later, she returned and claimed she had forgotten her phone inside the restroom.

Staff members allowed her back in.

Surveillance footage later allegedly showed the woman heading into Fisher’s office before leaving again.

Fisher and his wife soon began receiving alerts about thousands of dollars in unauthorized credit card charges.

The cards were reportedly used at businesses including an Apple Store at the Beverly Center.

After reviewing surveillance footage, staff members said they discovered the woman had allegedly taken wallets from the office.

They then learned that two other medical offices in the same building had reportedly been targeted that day.

One of those offices belonged to Nassif.

Investigators believe the same woman used a similar construction-worker story to gain access to the other locations.

Surveillance footage from the medical offices has been turned over to the Beverly Hills Police Department as detectives work to identify the suspect.

The doctors involved are also offering a $2,500 reward for information that helps authorities locate her.

Police have not announced an arrest.

It is also unclear whether the suspect specifically chose the offices because of the doctors’ celebrity status or simply targeted multiple businesses in the same building.

Nassif became widely known to television audiences through The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills before becoming one of the stars of E!’s Botched.

He also appeared on Dr. 90210 and has built a high-profile facial plastic surgery practice in Beverly Hills.

Fisher was one of the original physicians featured on ABC’s Extreme Makeover and has worked with numerous celebrity clients during his career.

The case highlights how quickly someone posing as a contractor or service worker can gain access to otherwise private areas of a business.

The investigation remains ongoing.
