The controversy began after Snoop, 53, appeared on the podcast It’s Giving with Sarah Fontenot and opened up about taking his grandson to see Pixar’s Lightyear, a Toy Story spin-off that features a same-sex couple. The rapper recalled being blindsided when his grandson asked about the characters.
“[My grandson was like] ‘Papa Snoop? How she have a baby with a woman? She a woman!’” Snoop said. “I didn’t come here for this s—. I just came to watch the goddamn movie.”
