William Shatner may be heading back down the aisle with the woman he once swore he wouldn’t marry again.
The 94-year-old Star Trek legend has long brushed off questions about retying the knot with his fourth wife, Elizabeth Martin, but friends say she’s managed to change his mind. The 66-year-old was recently spotted in North Hollywood flashing a sparkling diamond ring and band on her left hand — and insiders claim that’s no coincidence.
“Bill may have talked about how he’s not going to remarry Elizabeth, but it looks like things have changed,” one insider shared. “She’s walking around with a huge rock and the talk in their circle is they’ll quietly say the vows behind closed doors.”
Shatner and Martin originally married in 2001 but split in 2019. By March 2024, however, the actor admitted they had reunited, gushing, “My little secret is I’m living with my former wife.” Since then, the two have appeared inseparable, recently photographed enjoying dinner together and looking as happy as ever.
While Shatner’s rep denies wedding rumors, sources insist a private vow exchange is being planned. “Apparently, they’re organizing a small, intimate ceremony where he’ll recommit himself to her,” the insider explained. “He didn’t think it was necessary, but Elizabeth wasn’t comfortable with the status quo, and he wants her to be happy.”
Despite his initial reluctance, those close to the couple say it’s clear Shatner is devoted to Martin. “She’s his rock and vice versa,” said the source. “Everyone is pleased he’s choosing to do the right thing by marrying her all over again. He really does love her.”
