Tori Amos is pushing through her tour after a frightening run-in with a massive moose left her with a painful facial injury.
The 62-year-old singer revealed that her tour bus nearly collided with a large moose while traveling from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Stockholm, Sweden, ahead of her Wednesday, May 20 show.
According to Amos, the animal was enormous, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing roughly 1,500 pounds.
Thankfully, her bus driver, Chris, managed to avoid hitting the moose. But the sudden maneuver still sent Amos flying inside the bus.
The singer said she had just stood up to head to her bunk when the moose appeared.
“Unfortunately yours truly happened to have just stood up to head to my bunk when the Moose appeared,” Amos wrote on Instagram.
She said she was thrown against a ledge in the bus lounge and slammed the side of her face.
The impact left her with a visible injury.
“So for the next week or so if it looks like I have gone a few rounds with Ronda Rousey, now you will know why,” Amos joked.
Despite the scary moment and the facial bruising, Amos made it clear that fans do not need to worry about canceled concerts.
“Shows will go on as normal,” she added.
It is not the first time Amos has been injured while on the road.
During her 2023 tour, she broke her fibula and tore an ankle tendon after tripping while wearing heels. At the time, she told fans she would be wearing a boot during the day but would still perform at the piano as planned.
That same toughness appears to be carrying her through this latest mishap.
Amos is currently on a 35-date world tour after releasing her 18th album, In Times of Dragons, on May 1. The album includes the singles “Stronger Together,” “Shush,” and “Gasoline Girls.”
She first broke through in 1992 with her debut album Little Earthquakes and the hit “Silent All These Years.”
