Police in Southern California are searching for a woman accused of throwing a bowl of food at a Chipotle employee during a heated confrontation caught on surveillance video.

The incident happened on May 12 at a Chipotle in Santa Ana, California, on the 1300 block of W. 17th Street, according to Santa Ana Police.

Authorities said the woman got into a verbal argument with a Chipotle worker before the situation suddenly escalated.

Surveillance footage reportedly shows the woman violently throwing a bowl of food at the employee before leaving the restaurant.

Investigators are now asking the public for help identifying her.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Santa Ana Police Specialist C. Rodriguez at 714-245-8403.

After police shared the footage on Instagram, the comment section quickly filled with reactions. Some people condemned the woman’s behavior, while others joked about the bizarre scene.

“She ain’t have to do that,” one user wrote.

Another commenter joked, “They always skimp you out at that Chipotle. I’ve always held back from doing this.”

The Santa Ana incident is the latest Chipotle confrontation to make headlines.

Just last week, a separate Chipotle location in Washington, D.C.’s Navy Yard neighborhood was reportedly the scene of a chaotic “teen takeover” that turned into a violent brawl. At one point, a toddler highchair was allegedly used as a weapon.

It is unclear whether anyone involved in that incident was arrested.

For now, police in California are still looking for the woman accused of turning a fast-food argument into a food-flinging assault.
