Harry Styles gave fans a scare during his Wembley Stadium show Friday night after he appeared to choke on water while attempting one of his signature onstage moves.

The “Watermelon Sugar” singer was performing in front of a packed crowd when he grabbed a water bottle from the stage, took a quick sip and tried to do his famous “whale” spit move for the audience.

But the stunt did not go as planned.

Fan video circulating on social media showed Styles quickly spitting out the water before suddenly falling backward onto the stage. The moment appeared to unfold as Europe continued to deal with scorching heat, adding to concern from fans watching the performance.

Styles remained on the floor for several seconds as he appeared to try to catch his breath. In the clip, he could be seen loosening his tie and hitting his chest a few times while coughing.

After a tense few moments, the pop star seemed to recover. He jumped back up, waved to the crowd and ran offstage.

The scary scene immediately sparked reaction online, with some fans admitting they were genuinely worried.

“Must admit that on the livestream I was afraid for a few seconds,” one person wrote under a video of the incident.

“Oh HELL no! He was struggling for REAL real,” another fan posted on X.

A third viewer questioned why no one from his team appeared to step in sooner, writing, “Why didn’t any of his team notice that he was struggling with his tie? This is so bad.”

Reps for Styles did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The singer is scheduled to continue his run at Wembley Stadium, with another show set for Saturday night. His performances at the famed venue are expected to continue on June 29, July 1, July 3 and July 4.

Hopefully, the brief scare was nothing serious and Styles is feeling better before returning to the stage.
