A jet ski influencer is lucky to be alive after he lost consciousness and slammed into a wooden dock at full speed during a dangerous stunt.

Dillan Stapler, a member of the Georgia-based jet skiing group known as the Lanier Crew, shared shocking video of the moment everything went terribly wrong.

The footage shows Stapler speeding directly toward the dock before the jet ski crashes into it with tremendous force. The impact throws him from the watercraft and sends him crashing onto the unforgiving wooden surface.

A friend quickly pulls Stapler from the water, but he appears completely unresponsive. His life jacket keeps him above the surface as his companion holds onto him and tries to help.

Stapler later explained on TikTok that he apparently passed out while attempting to control the jet ski from its front hood.

Video recorded from behind shows him suddenly go limp before the collision. He was fortunate not to fall into the water earlier and potentially become trapped or dragged beneath the moving jet ski.

Stapler later stated that no bones were broken. He only suffered a concussion and bruising. Stapler is also planning to undergo further medical evaluation to determine why he suddenly passed out, including whether he experienced a stroke or another medical episode.

The incident serves as a sobering reminder that even experienced riders can find themselves in life-threatening situations.Jet skis may look like recreational toys, but they can travel at extremely high speeds and cause devastating injuries when something goes wrong.
