Ryan Adams has canceled his upcoming European tour after revealing that he has been “wildly sick” and is selling off many of his prized personal belongings because he is broke.

The 51-year-old singer shared the troubling update after his promoter announced that the planned tour had been scrapped due to “circumstances beyond our control.”

Fans were assured that refunds would be issued for the canceled dates. The announcement also said Adams was continuing to work on new music, including a planned trilogy of albums.

Adams later reposted the tour statement on social media with a brief message of his own.

“Tough times. Been sick. Fall tour cancelled,” he wrote.

The cancellation came just days after the singer posted an emotional message on Instagram revealing that he was putting many of his personal possessions up for sale.

Adams told followers that he felt “broke and sick and tired and defeated,” suggesting that both his health and financial situation had taken a serious toll.

Despite the bleak message, the musician said he was still trying to remain hopeful and wanted to continue creating and releasing music.

Adams’ career has faced years of turmoil since 2019, when multiple women accused him of inappropriate behavior. Those who spoke out included his ex-wife, actress and singer Mandy Moore, as well as musician Phoebe Bridgers.

Adams initially denied the allegations. He later issued a public apology, saying he regretted the pain his actions had caused.

The singer has continued releasing music and performing in the years since, but his latest announcement has raised fresh concern among fans about his health, finances and ability to return to the stage.
