Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s Feud Intensifies as Actress ‘Threatens to Release Intimate Texts’

Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s once-unbreakable friendship has reportedly collapsed into an ugly behind-the-scenes battle involving a Super Bowl snub, private messages and a shocking alleged threat.

The former best friends were once practically inseparable. Lively appeared alongside Swift in a VIP suite at Super Bowl LVIII in 2024, where the two were photographed embracing and celebrating together.

But when the Kansas City Chiefs returned to the championship game the following year, Lively was nowhere to be seen.

Sources claimed the Gossip Girl actress was “livid” and “humiliated” after being left off the guest list for Swift and Travis Kelce’s Super Bowl suite.

According to a bombshell Daily Mail report, Lively allegedly wanted Swift to publish a social media post suggesting that she had simply been unable to attend.

The proposed message reportedly would have said something along the lines of, “So sad my bestie couldn’t come to the Super Bowl.”

Such a post would have given fans the impression that Swift and Lively were still close—and helped shut down speculation that the actress had deliberately been excluded because of their growing feud.

Swift allegedly refused.

That rejection reportedly triggered an even more explosive confrontation. A source claimed Lively threatened to release roughly 10 years of private and “intimate” text messages between the two women.

The alleged conversations reportedly include personal exchanges about Swift’s high-profile romances and other closely guarded details of her private life.

“It was the ultimate blow to their friendship,” a source told the outlet.

“The threat to expose Taylor’s most intimate confidences unless she posted something to explain why Blake was missing at the Super Bowl was outrageous.”

According to the source, that alleged threat permanently destroyed whatever remained of their friendship.

“There was no going back from that,” the insider said.

However, Lively’s attorney, Michael Gottlieb, strongly denied that any threat was ever made.

“This is categorically false,” Gottlieb said. “We unequivocally deny all of these so-called allegations, which are cowardly sourced to supposed anonymous sources, and completely untethered from reality.”

The reported fallout began after Swift was dragged into Lively’s bitter legal fight with her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.

Lively accused Baldoni of sexually harassing her during production and participating in a retaliatory smear campaign against her. Baldoni has denied the allegations and accused Lively of using her powerful connections—including her friendship with Swift—to exert control over the movie.

The legal war soon expanded beyond the two stars, pulling several other famous names into the scandal.

Swift became entangled in the dispute after Baldoni allegedly claimed Lively had used the singer’s influence during the conflict over the film.

In January, previously sealed text messages between Lively and Swift were released as part of the case. The conversations reportedly discussed the emotional toll the movie controversy had taken on Lively and the strain it placed on the women’s friendship.

Swift and Lively first became friends in 2015. Their bond became so close that Lively’s daughters—James, Inez and Betty—provided a voice cameo on Swift’s song “Gorgeous.”

Swift was also described as the children’s godmother.

But as the feud reportedly worsened, the singer allegedly made the painful decision to step away from that role.

“It was one of the toughest decisions she’s ever had to make,” a source claimed.

“It was very emotional because she loves the girls. It hurt her heart, but she had no choice given the circumstances.”

The decision was reportedly made several months ago. Sources noted there was no written agreement formally establishing Swift as the children’s godmother.

Neither Swift nor Lively has publicly confirmed that their friendship is over. Lively’s attorney has unequivocally denied the latest allegations, but the reported Super Bowl snub, courtroom revelations and private-text scandal have fueled growing speculation that one of Hollywood’s closest friendships may be over for good.
