Tensions within the British royal family may be heating up again as Princess Kate reportedly grows increasingly frustrated with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to high-profile public appearances in Britain.

The Princess of Wales, 44, is said to be unhappy about the attention the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received during their recent charity engagements in Nottingham, where enthusiastic crowds greeted the couple as they resumed a public schedule resembling their former royal duties.

According to RadarOnline, unnamed royal insiders claim Kate believes Harry and Meghan are enjoying the recognition associated with the monarchy without addressing the family disputes that followed their departure from official royal duties in 2020.

The allegations come as Harry, 42, and Meghan, 45, attempt to establish a new chapter of their lives in Britain after spending several years raising their family in California.

Their latest appearance on October 15 marked their first major joint public outing in the United Kingdom since returning to live in the country earlier this year.

And judging by the reception in Nottingham, the couple still has plenty of supporters.

Harry and Meghan visited three local charities, meeting children, volunteers and community leaders while greeting crowds who had gathered to see them.

Their first stop was the Community Recording Studio, an organization that helps disadvantaged young people develop skills through music, performance and other creative programs.

The couple later visited Himmah Hub, a food bank supporting families struggling with food insecurity, before stopping at Epic Partners, which provides educational and mentoring opportunities for young people.

The visit also carried special meaning because Nottingham was the city where Harry and Meghan made their first official joint appearance following their engagement announcement in 2017.

During their latest visit, Meghan reunited with women she had worked with through the Hubb Community Kitchen, a project connected to families affected by the deadly Grenfell Tower fire in London.

The reunion was particularly emotional, with the duchess embracing several women she had not seen in years.

Harry also received an enthusiastic welcome, with supporters calling out his name as he greeted people outside the charities.

But while the public appearances appeared successful, a new report suggests they have reopened old wounds behind palace doors.

One source told RadarOnline that Kate was deeply upset by the Sussexes receiving a reception similar to that of working members of the royal family.

The insider claimed she believes reconciliation should involve acknowledging the damage caused by years of public disagreements.

Those disagreements became especially painful after Harry and Meghan gave a highly publicized interview to Oprah Winfrey in 2021, followed by the Netflix documentary series “Harry & Meghan” and Harry’s memoir, “Spare.”

The projects included allegations and personal accounts involving senior members of the royal family, including Prince William and Kate.

Harry’s memoir described several private disagreements with his brother and sister-in-law, contributing to the breakdown in their once-close relationship.

According to the latest report, Kate remains concerned about rebuilding trust, particularly because private family conversations have previously become the subject of public interviews and books.

An unnamed source alleged that the princess worries anything discussed privately could eventually be repeated publicly or taken out of context.

The source also claimed Kate is considering having an intermediary communicate her concerns rather than confronting Harry and Meghan directly.

However, those claims have not been independently verified, and Kensington Palace has not publicly confirmed that Kate is angry about the Nottingham visit or planning to intervene.

There is also no indication that the princess has personally criticized the Sussexes’ recent charity work.

The renewed speculation comes amid continuing questions about Harry and Meghan’s place within the monarchy.

Although they retain their titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the couple no longer represents King Charles III in an official capacity.

When they stepped back from royal duties in 2020, Queen Elizabeth II rejected a proposed arrangement under which they could carry out selected royal responsibilities while pursuing independent commercial interests.

That distinction remains important today.

King Charles has reportedly reiterated that Harry and Meghan are free to support charitable organizations, but they must do so as private citizens rather than working representatives of the monarchy.

The couple’s visit to Nottingham did not constitute an official royal engagement, even though the public reception and extensive media coverage resembled the appearances they made before leaving royal duties.

For Harry, returning to Britain has also raised hopes of repairing his relationship with his father.

The Duke of Sussex has previously spoken about wanting reconciliation with King Charles, while reports suggest relations between Harry and Prince William remain strained.

Harry and Meghan’s children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, have also become part of the broader discussion about the family’s future in Britain.

The couple reportedly hopes their children will develop stronger relationships with their British relatives, although no formal family reunion has been announced.

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan appear encouraged by the reception they received during their charitable visits.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes said the couple was pleased by the warmth and support shown throughout their day in Nottingham.

Harry himself described the experience as wonderful, expressing happiness about returning to a city with which he has longstanding charitable connections.

Whether their increased visibility in Britain will help repair royal relationships or create additional tension remains uncertain.

For now, the strongest claims about Kate’s frustration come from anonymous sources rather than public statements or independently confirmed palace information.

Still, the renewed attention surrounding Harry and Meghan highlights an unresolved question that has followed the family for years: Can the Sussexes rebuild their relationships with the royals while continuing to pursue their own public lives outside the monarchy?

With Harry and Meghan settling into a new routine in Britain and Kate continuing her responsibilities as Princess of Wales, the next chapter of the family’s complicated relationship is still unfolding.
