Demi Lovato sparked concern among fans after a frightening health scare landed her in the hospital, where the pop star shared a troubling photograph showing an IV in her arm before abruptly deleting the post.

The 34-year-old singer and former Disney Channel star revealed Monday night, October 26, that she had sought medical attention for what she suspected was an unexpected allergic reaction to something she had eaten.

In the since-deleted Instagram Story, Lovato showed her arm connected to an IV, with a hospital identification bracelet wrapped around her wrist.

Despite the alarming image, the singer appeared to maintain her sense of humor about the ordeal.

“Sooooo I’m either allergic to passionfruit or sushi now!” she wrote alongside the photograph, suggesting that one of the foods may have triggered the reaction.

The unexpected hospital visit quickly raised concerns about Lovato’s well-being, particularly because she offered no explanation of the symptoms that prompted her to seek emergency medical care.

Fortunately, the scare appears to have been short-lived.

According to TMZ, sources familiar with the situation said Lovato’s symptoms improved relatively quickly, and she was discharged shortly after being evaluated. She did not require an overnight hospital stay.

Lovato later returned to Instagram with a brief but reassuring update for her millions of followers.

“I’m fine!!” she declared, before eventually deleting that message as well.

The singer has not publicly revealed what caused the suspected reaction or whether doctors identified a specific allergy.

The health scare came during an otherwise happy period in Lovato’s life. Just days earlier, she had celebrated the first anniversary of her ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep, reflecting on a year filled with personal milestones and professional success.

The singer recently completed a concert tour and has been enjoying married life with musician Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, 35, whom she wed in an intimate Santa Barbara ceremony in May 2025.

The couple first met in 2022 while working on Lovato’s album Holy Fvck and announced their engagement in December 2023.

Lovato has spoken openly about the happiness she has found with her husband, recently describing their relationship as a source of peace and stability after years of personal challenges.

“I do feel like I’ve found my home in him,” she said during an appearance on Kerry Washington’s podcast.

While the hospital photograph understandably alarmed fans, Lovato’s swift discharge and reassuring message suggest the immediate health scare has passed.

For now, the exact cause of her mysterious reaction remains unknown, but the singer has made one thing clear: She’s doing fine.
