Passengers aboard a British Airways flight from San Francisco to London got more than complimentary drinks and snacks — they got an unexpected in-flight performance, courtesy of one of the airline’s own crew members.
According to reports, the flight attendant was found completely naked and dancing inside a bathroom in the Club World cabin during the transatlantic trip last weekend. The shocking discovery was made when fellow staff noticed he was missing during meal service on the massive Airbus A380 — the world’s largest passenger plane.
“We think the guy popped pills when he was meant to be working. It is an extraordinary thing to do,” one crew member told The Sun. “The plane was cruising at 37,000 feet over the Atlantic, but this bloke seemed to be higher than anyone else.”
Once found, the man was reportedly dressed in first class pajamas and secured in a passenger seat for the remainder of the 10-hour journey. His colleagues had to continue working the flight without breaks to make up for his absence.
The chaos didn’t end there. Upon landing at Heathrow Airport on Sunday morning, police were waiting at the gate to arrest the flight attendant. British Airways has since suspended him while an investigation is underway.
“Not only is it really dangerous, it is a crazy way to end your BA career,” another crew member said. “This job can do ridiculous things to people, but staging a one-man disco in a Club World toilet is a new one on me.”
