A Georgia man is in critical condition after a devastating accident turned his life upside down just weeks after saying “I do.”

Hilton Lane, of Colquitt, was seriously injured on March 29 when the tractor he was operating suddenly overturned and crushed him, according to local reports.

In a desperate moment, Lane managed to grab his phone while pinned beneath the heavy equipment and call his wife, Keslie, for help. But the terrifying call was cut short when his phone died.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and transported him to a hospital in Dothan, Alabama, where he remains in intensive care.

Lane, who owns the popular Bud’s Blue Collar Grill, has become the center of an outpouring of support from his small-town community. The restaurant closed the day after the accident as friends and family gathered around him.

Dozens of people later came together for a powerful prayer circle, hoping for his recovery.

“It was nothing short of amazing,” his cousin Joshua Suggs said. “People dropped everything to come together for Hilton.”

He added that the overwhelming support reflects the kind of person Lane is and the impact he’s had on those around him.

Despite the severity of his injuries, Lane is now reported to be stable, though he continues to undergo medical procedures.

His restaurant has since reopened, with loyal customers showing up in droves — not just for food, but to support the man they say has always been there for them.

A donation fund has also been launched to help cover mounting medical expenses as Lane continues his fight to recover.

What should have been the happiest chapter of his life has quickly turned into a battle for survival — but those closest to him are holding on to hope.
