Stevie Nicks is hitting pause on the road—but not on her music.
The iconic Fleetwood Mac singer, 77, announced Friday that she’s postponing several tour dates in August and September due to a fractured shoulder. In a statement shared on Instagram, Nicks said the injury will require time to heal, forcing her to take a two-month break from performing.
“Due to a recent injury resulting in a fractured shoulder that will require recovery time, Stevie Nicks’ scheduled concerts in August and September will be rescheduled,” the statement read. “October dates will be unaffected.”
Fans with tickets were advised to hang on, as all original tickets will be honored for the rescheduled shows. The tour will pick back up on October 1 in Portland, Oregon.
Nicks’ fall schedule had included major stops in cities like Detroit, Toronto, Brooklyn, Cincinnati, and Tampa—all of which will now be moved.
Despite the setback, Nicks is keeping her spirits high and promised fans she’ll be back soon. “Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone soon and apologizes to the fans for this inconvenience,” the message concluded.
Her fans flooded the comment section with support. “Sending healing energy your way,” one follower wrote. “Get well soon queen,” another added.
But while her tour takes a timeout, Nicks has no intention of slowing down creatively.
Just last month, she and former bandmate Lindsey Buckingham sent fans into a frenzy by teasing a long-awaited reissue of their 1973 Buckingham Nicks album. Both artists posted cryptic lyrics from their song “Frozen Love” on Instagram—just days before announcing the remastered project would drop on September 19.
On top of that, Nicks is already deep into work on her next solo album—her 14th overall. During her April induction into the Pollstar Hall of Fame, she revealed the project was born out of an unusual moment of isolation.
“I was sitting in a hotel for 92 days after evacuating because of the fires,” she said, referring to the devastating January wildfires in Los Angeles. “It felt like being on tour, but with no shows. And I finally told myself, ‘You need to go back to work.’ So I did.”
Nicks said the new album, which she calls her “ghost record,” is a deeply personal one.
“They are not airy-fairy songs that you are wondering who they’re about,” she explained. “They’re real stories of memories of mine, of fantastic men. I’m not pulling any punches—for probably the first time in my life.”
So while Stevie may be offstage for a bit, her voice—both literal and lyrical—is still very much in motion.
