Justin Timberlake is still struggling with lingering health issues after revealing his secret battle with Lyme disease, even as he focuses on rest and family time at home.

The 44-year-old pop superstar stunned fans on July 31 when he shared that he experienced “massive nerve pain” and “crazy fatigue” throughout his nearly two-year world tour while keeping his illness private. Sources say the brutal pace left him physically drained and forced him to confront the reality of his health.

“Since Justin wrapped his tour over the summer, they’ve focused on family time,” an insider shared, referring to Timberlake’s wife, Jessica Biel, 43, and their two sons, Silas, 10, and Phinneas, 5. “The tour was rough for everyone. Justin had fatigue, pain, and was just exhausted. After his Lyme disease diagnosis and powering through the tour, he’s been focused on healing and taking care of himself. He’s explored treatments and is taking it seriously.”

The source added that Timberlake is spending this time recovering and trying to “be the best dad and husband.” Biel, described as “supportive as always,” recently joined him for a small celebration of their 13th wedding anniversary on October 19. “Even when life is down, they’re very committed to their marriage,” the insider said. “They are happy and united.”

Their relationship has endured several public scandals, including Timberlake’s 2019 incident with Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright and his 2024 DWI arrest, but the couple appears determined to stay strong through his health crisis.

Timberlake revealed his Lyme disease diagnosis in an emotional Instagram post, explaining how the illness quietly impacted his performances during the Forget Tomorrow World Tour. “If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically,” he wrote.

“When I first got the diagnosis, I was shocked for sure. But at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain, or just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness,” he said. “I was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring? Or keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I’m so glad I kept going. Not only did I prove my mental tenacity to myself, but I now have so many special moments with all of you that I will never forget.”

But not everyone in the audience saw it that way. In the final stretch of the tour, fans began complaining about low-energy shows and lackluster performances. Timberlake was filmed relying on the crowd to sing his hits and barely moving onstage during songs that once featured his signature choreography.

“Go Justin, give us nothing,” one fan in Romania wrote in a viral TikTok. Another concertgoer on X posted, “Justin Timberlake really thought he could do the bare minimum & get away with it? Nah. People didn’t drop $500 to watch a lifeless karaoke act. No energy, no vocals, just vibes gone wrong. The crowd walking out says it all. It’s a mediocre performance. It’s time to stop!”
