Reality TV fans are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Cass Lacelle.

The Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise star has died at just 34 years old — less than a year after revealing she had been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Lacelle, who appeared on the Freeform reality series in 2024, passed away on February 11. Her death was confirmed in an emotional statement shared on Instagram.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the news that our beloved Cass has passed after her short but incredibly courageous battle with cancer,” the statement read.

The tribute described her as unforgettable.

“Cass leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured. She is the definition of memorable; in just 34 years, she made an extraordinary impact on everyone who crossed her path.”

The message continued, calling her someone who lived life fully and refused to waste a moment.

“Life is precious, meant to be embraced wholeheartedly and never wasted. Boredom was her biggest enemy. Cass had a rare gift for making people feel truly alive and bringing everyone together — she was the glue.”

In May 2025, Lacelle revealed she had been diagnosed with mucinous adenocarcinoma, a rare cancer that caused a tumor to develop on her left ovary.

She underwent emergency surgery last summer to remove the tumor and completed three rounds of chemotherapy. But in January, she shared devastating news: the cancer had spread to her liver, stomach, abdominal lining and omentum.

“Some days are better than others but there hasn’t been a pain free day for me since mid-November,” she wrote at the time.

She was open about the toll treatment had taken on her body, explaining that the side effects of chemotherapy and pain medication often left her feeling “loopy” and exhausted.

“Due to the side effects of chemo and pain management I am often unable to respond but please know how much I appreciate your love,” she told followers.

By December 6, she had been admitted to the hospital and shared that she would remain there “for the foreseeable future.” Her biweekly chemotherapy treatments began on December 24.

Throughout her battle, Lacelle documented her journey on Instagram, offering raw updates and heartfelt reflections.

After news of her passing, tributes flooded social media.

Her mother, Tammy, shared a deeply emotional message.

“RIP our beautiful daughter,” she wrote. “We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for the kind words, prayers, love, and support that have surrounded our family during this unimaginable time. It has meant more to us than we could ever express.”

She added, “Her dad and I are truly grateful for all the love that has been shown to Cassie and to our family. She will forever be in our hearts, deeply loved and never forgotten.”

Her Grand Cayman co-stars also shared touching tributes. Julian Foster wrote that she would be “forever with us in spirit, pushing us to be our best selves,” while Frank Schilling reflected on the way her presence made the world bigger for those who knew her.
