Former child star Brandon Hall—best known for playing Alfalfa in the 1994 movie The Little Rascals—has been arrested after missing a scheduled court appearance, adding another twist to his already unconventional life story.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Hall, 41, was charged in Ohio for failing to appear in court over a traffic case tied to a citation he received in October 2024 for not having liability insurance. That court date had been set for December 31, 2024—but he never showed up.
The arrest comes years after a troubling incident in 2020, when Hall was taken into custody at a Texas hotel after police responded to reports of a possible overdose. Officers found multiple air duster cans in the room, and Hall later admitted to inhaling from them. He was charged with misdemeanor possession for use to inhale a volatile chemical and released on a $1,500 bond. At the time, reports said his own family had called authorities out of concern.
Despite the legal troubles, Hall has made headlines in recent years for something completely different—walking away from Hollywood altogether.
In a January interview, the former actor revealed he now lives off the grid in Arkansas with his wife and five children, describing himself as a “radical Catholic extremist” who has taken a vow of poverty. He said his past struggles were a wake-up call that pushed him to leave the entertainment industry behind for good.
“I didn’t want to go work some job that was basically meaningless, making widgets to entertain people or distract people,” he said.
Before stepping away, Hall had built a recognizable résumé beyond his childhood fame, with appearances in projects like Charmed, Beverly Hills 90210, and Criminal Minds.
