Celeste Ricas Hernandez / D4vd

A shocking development has rocked the music world after D4vd was arrested in connection with the mysterious death of a teenage girl whose body was found in the trunk of his car.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the 21-year-old artist—whose real name is David Anthony Burke—was taken into custody on April 16 and is currently being held without bail. Authorities say the case will be presented to prosecutors soon, who will decide whether to file formal charges.

The arrest stems from a disturbing case that first made headlines back in September 2025, when 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found dead inside the trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to the singer. Police were called to the lot after reports of a foul odor coming from the vehicle.

Even more chilling, investigators believe the teen may have been dead for weeks before she was discovered.

The car had reportedly been sitting abandoned in the Hollywood Hills area for about a month before anyone noticed something was wrong. Since then, the case has been surrounded by mystery, unanswered questions, and growing speculation.

Prosecutors previously revealed that D4vd had become a focus of a grand jury investigation, suggesting he “may be involved” in the teen’s death. Now, with his arrest, the case appears to be entering a critical stage.

But the singer’s legal team is pushing back hard.

His attorneys released a statement insisting that Burke is innocent, saying the evidence will ultimately show he had nothing to do with the girl’s death. They emphasized that no charges have been officially filed yet and that he is only being held under suspicion.

Behind the scenes, sources say the investigation has been anything but straightforward. Reports claim Burke has not been fully cooperative with authorities—though his representatives have previously said the opposite.

Adding to the mystery, it’s still unclear how—or if—the teen and the singer were connected. The victim had reportedly been listed as missing multiple times in the past, and details about her final days remain unclear.

Investigators have also kept key evidence under wraps, including autopsy findings, which were sealed due to the ongoing nature of the case.
