Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes suffered a scary moment on stage after a fan allegedly threw a phone that struck him directly in the head during a concert in St. Louis.

The shocking incident happened Monday night while the British rock band was performing their hit song “Happy Song” at the Enterprise Center.

Fan-recorded videos circulating online show Sykes suddenly crouching down on stage after appearing to get hit near his left temple by a flying phone.

Moments later, the visibly shaken singer addressed the crowd.

“Who the f— just threw a phone at my f—in’ head?” Sykes could be heard yelling while checking himself for blood in another viral clip from the concert.

The 39-year-old later revealed the incident left him with a mild concussion.

Taking to Instagram Stories the following day, Sykes reassured fans that he was recovering but admitted the injury seriously affected the rest of his performance.

“Alright everyone — just wanted to let you know I’m all good,” he wrote.

“The phone to the head definitely smarted and I ended up with a mild concussion.”

Sykes explained that he struggled to continue performing after being hit because singing made the pain and dizziness worse throughout the show.

“Last night I was struggling a bit on stage afterwards because singing was putting a lot of pressure on the wound and making things feel a bit disorienting while performing,” he shared.

He also apologized to fans if the rest of the concert seemed less energetic than usual.

Despite the frightening incident, Sykes said the swelling had already gone down significantly and that he expected to be okay for the band’s next performance.

Unfortunately, the incident is just the latest in a growing trend of concertgoers throwing objects at performers during live shows.

Earlier this month, Eric Clapton was struck by an object thrown from the crowd during a concert in Spain.

Country singer Riley Green was also hit in the face with a phone during a performance in Australia earlier this year, leaving him bleeding and requiring stitches.

Back in 2023, singer Bebe Rexha was hospitalized after being hit in the face by a phone during a New York City concert, while Kelsea Ballerini was struck in the eye by a bracelet thrown from the audience.

Fans online have since rallied around Sykes, with many calling for stricter concert security and harsher consequences for people who throw objects at performers during live events.
