Carly Douglas, a South Carolina-based fitness influencer and mother of three, has died after a battle with stage 4 stomach cancer. She was 36.

Her death was announced in a post shared to her Instagram account on June 16.

“On June 13, 2026, Carly Faye Douglas stepped into complete glory, in her final resting place,” the post read. “She met her Maker and Savior face to face, and her arms are full with her two Heaven babies.”

Douglas had built a following of more than 137,000 people on Instagram, where she shared content about fitness, motherhood, home organization, and her daily life.

She is survived by her husband, David, and their three children, River, Faye, and Townes.

Douglas first revealed her stage 4 stomach cancer diagnosis in March in an emotional video, describing the news as “living in a nightmare,” especially as a mother.

“I think I’ve walked through every stage of grief possible, but one thing that has never left is just this overwhelming sense of peace that I’m going to be okay and that I going to fight,” she said at the time. “I have to fight for my kids and for so many people I love.”

Over the next three months, Douglas continued sharing updates with her followers, including videos from the hospital and posts about her chemotherapy treatments.

The tribute announcing her death said Douglas faced cancer with strength, faith, and hope.

“Carly fought cancer with grit and determination; while being full of hope and always pointing anyone who would listen, back to God, the One who held her in the palm of His hand,” the post read.

Those closest to her remembered her as someone who brought light everywhere she went.

“Carly was joy personified, pure sunshine,” the tribute continued. “It felt as though her smile was permanently stitched on her face and her laugh was constantly waiting to bubble out of her. To be known by Carly Faye, was to be loved by Carly Faye.”

The post also described how deeply Douglas loved her children, saying she “treasured” them and spent her final days “soaking up every last drop of giggles and hugs until the very end.”

Her husband, David, was remembered as her “best friend, her person, the man she could not wait to see walk through the door every evening.”

“Their love was deep and wide and permeated every inch of their lives and home,” the tribute said.

The emotional post ended by acknowledging the grief left behind while also pointing to Douglas’ faith.

“We are devastated for us here, without her,” the tribute read. “The Carly sized hole left in her family and friends’ lives will never be filled. But, we do not grieve without hope. We know she is whole, complete, and the most joyful, radiant version of herself.”

The message concluded by saying that more than anything, Douglas would want everyone reading her story to “pursue God and the eternal peace she now has.”

Her death has left followers heartbroken, especially those who had watched her share her fight with honesty, faith, and love for her family until the very end.
