Rapper Kodak Black has sparked widespread concern after collapsing on stage during a Florida concert, with disturbing footage showing him making sudden, seizure-like movements as people rushed to his side. But a second video has raised new questions about what really happened.

The 29-year-old rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was performing at the Nightmare on Channelside Halloween concert at Tampa’s Benchmark International Arena on October 31 when the frightening incident unfolded.

In footage that quickly went viral, Black can be seen lying on the stage floor, his body jerking as several people gather around him. One person kneels beside the rapper and appears to check on his condition while others look on.

Moments later, Black gets back on his feet without assistance and walks offstage, leaving fans wondering whether they had witnessed a genuine medical emergency.

However, a longer recording circulating online offers a different perspective. The additional footage reportedly shows Black walking offstage before returning, with his unusual movements beginning around the time his performance appeared to be interrupted.

Some reports suggest the rapper’s microphone and music had been cut off, possibly by venue management. That account remains unconfirmed, and it is unclear whether the interruption had anything to do with his collapse.

The incident reportedly brought Black’s performance to an abrupt end after just five songs. He had been scheduled to appear alongside other major hip-hop artists, including Meek Mill and DaBaby.

As videos spread across social media, worried fans began speculating about the rapper’s health, with some suggesting he had suffered a seizure. Others questioned whether the dramatic scene was connected to the apparent shutdown of his performance.

Despite the online speculation, there has been no public confirmation that Black experienced a seizure or another medical emergency. Neither the rapper nor his representatives had provided an official explanation as of November 3, and there were no verified reports confirming that he required hospitalization.

The unsettling footage comes just weeks after Black secured two significant legal victories in Florida.

In September, a Broward County judge dismissed a felony fleeing and eluding charge stemming from a February encounter with a sheriff’s deputy. His attorneys argued that the officer had never issued a lawful order requiring the rapper to remain at the scene, and the judge granted their motion to dismiss.

Days later, prosecutors in Orange County declined to pursue a separate drug trafficking case connected to Black’s May arrest. Authorities had accused him of possessing MDMA discovered during an earlier investigation, but prosecutors ultimately determined there was insufficient evidence to establish that the drugs belonged to him.

Those legal developments have no established connection to the concert incident, which has nevertheless placed Black back in the headlines.

For now, the mystery surrounding his onstage collapse remains unresolved. While the rapper was seen getting up and walking away, neither the viral footage nor the competing explanations establish exactly what caused the alarming scene.
