The jury has been selected for Jonathan Majors’ assault and harassment trial, and a recognizable face was in attendance.

At Thursday’s proceedings in a Manhattan courtroom, actor Yul Vazquez (Sopranos, Severance, White House Plumbers) was among 39 potential jurors who went through the selection process.

During questioning, Vazquez expressed concerns about judging another person, noting, “that someone would do that to me one day.” Majors could be heard reacting with a “hmm.”

Additionally, the actor was seen taking notes on a yellow legal pad and gently kissed girlfriend Meagan Good on the lips goodbye as she took a seat in the gallery of the courtroom.

Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry eventually asked, “Can all of you promise that you can presume that Mr. Majors is innocent even though he’s a celebrity?” All the potential jurors answered yes.

Vazquez was ultimately eliminated from the jury pool. Six jurors were selected, along with two alternates (one male, one female). Judge Michael J. Gaffey previously delayed the jury selection by one day.

Majors’ legal team previously requested to dismiss the domestic violence case, but it was denied. The actor was arrested on March 25 in New York City and charged with assault, attempted assault, harassment and aggravated harassment after a domestic dispute with a woman allegedly led to her being hospitalized with minor injuries. A strangulation charge was later dropped. Majors and his attorneys have maintained his innocence.

After Majors’ team called upon prosecutors to investigate Grace Jabbari, she voluntarily reported into the New York Police Department’s 10th precinct on Oct. 25 and was charged with third-degree domestic assault and criminal mischief.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office later told The Messenger that Jabbari would not be prosecuted, as the charges against her lacked “prosecutorial merit.” The case against Jabbari is now closed and sealed, the D.A.’s office confirmed.

Opening statements are scheduled to begin Monday, with Jabbari set to testify at some point next week.
