The daughter of a former Real Housewives of Orange County star is facing another troubling chapter in her years-long struggle with addiction after being arrested on a drug-related charge and reportedly declared a fugitive.

Alexa Curtin, 34, whose mother Lynne Curtin appeared on the popular Bravo reality series, was arrested July 21 after police allegedly discovered drug paraphernalia at a Jack in the Box restaurant in Fullerton, California.

According to court documents, officers found what was described as an opium pipe in Alexa’s possession. She was cited for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and the police report identified her as homeless.

The situation has since escalated. Orange County court records reportedly list Alexa as a fugitive following the issuance of an arrest warrant on October 17.

A newly released mugshot has also attracted attention, showing the former reality television personality looking noticeably different from her appearances alongside her family on Bravo more than 15 years ago.

The latest developments come just months after Alexa publicly discussed her struggles with fentanyl addiction, homelessness and her increasingly strained relationship with her parents.

During an emotional interview earlier this year, Alexa revealed that her substance use began with alcohol and prescription pills before escalating to heroin and eventually fentanyl.

“I was doing heroin and then I, like, met some people, they kind of introduced me to the fentanyl,” she explained, estimating that she had struggled with the powerful opioid for six or seven years.

“My life just kind of went downhill,” she admitted.

Alexa also described serious physical and personal hardships, including missing teeth and the loss of two fingers, which she said occurred in a car accident connected to her substance use.

Despite those struggles, she suggested that she had begun making some progress, telling an interviewer, “I’m not using as much as I used to.”

However, her relationship with her family reportedly remains fractured.

Alexa claimed that her parents, Lynne and Frank Curtin, had distanced themselves from her because of her continued drug use. She said they were living several hours away in San Diego and that communication had largely broken down.

“Right now they don’t want anything really to do with me,” she said.

Her family has not publicly confirmed all the details of that account.

For longtime Bravo viewers, Alexa’s circumstances represent a painful contrast to the life they watched unfold on The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Alexa appeared alongside her parents and older sister, Raquel, during Lynne’s time on the series from 2008 to 2010. The family’s financial difficulties and parenting disagreements became recurring storylines, but Alexa’s most serious struggles emerged after their departure from television.

Over the years, she has faced multiple arrests and legal problems involving drugs, driving offenses and other allegations.

In January 2021, Alexa was taken into custody after authorities said she had failed to appear for court proceedings stemming from earlier cases. At the time, she faced several pending charges, including drug possession, driving under the influence, vandalism and petty theft.

Her personal life also underwent major changes following her separation from husband Michael DeVecchio, whom she married in 2013. Their divorce was finalized years later.

Now, the latest misdemeanor case has once again placed Alexa in the headlines, this time amid renewed concerns about her living situation and well-being.

Neither Alexa nor representatives for her mother had publicly responded to requests for comment about the latest arrest as of November 5.

It remains unclear whether the outstanding warrant has led to any additional court proceedings or whether Alexa has sought treatment since speaking publicly about her addiction.

The paraphernalia allegation has not resulted in a reported conviction, and the case remains unresolved.

For a woman who once appeared on television as part of an affluent Orange County family, the latest developments underscore a difficult personal journey that has unfolded largely outside the cameras, with loved ones and longtime viewers hoping she can find stability and support.
