Prince Harry’s immigration status has been under legal scrutiny, particularly in Washington D.C., where the Heritage Foundation has raised questions about whether the prince concealed past drug use that might have disqualified him from obtaining a U.S. visa. However, Trump weighed in on the matter in a conversation with The New York Post, stating that he had no intention of forcing Harry to leave the country.
“I’ll leave him alone,” Trump remarked. “He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
In his comments, Trump also took a moment to praise Prince Harry’s older brother, William, whom he had met privately in Paris the previous December during the reopening of the Notre-Dame Cathedral. “I think William is a great young man,” Trump said.
For context, Harry and Meghan have been outspoken critics of Trump. Meghan Markle, in particular, has referred to the president as “divisive” and “misogynistic” on multiple occasions. Trump, on the other hand, has often ridiculed Harry, notably remarking that he believes the prince is being “led around by the nose” by his wife.
The legal battle over Harry’s visa status centers around his 2023 memoir Spare, in which he openly admitted to using substances like cocaine, cannabis, and psychedelics. The Heritage Foundation has argued that these admissions should have been disclosed during his visa application process, prompting them to sue the Department of Homeland Security for the release of his records.
Nile Gardiner of the Heritage Foundation, speaking with The Daily Telegraph, emphasized, “Anyone who applies to the United States has to be truthful on their application, and it is not clear that is the case with Prince Harry.”
Meanwhile, the think tank claims that Harry may have received special treatment from the Biden administration when he and Meghan settled in California after their departure from the British royal family in 2020.

Kick him out. He lied. He’s just as illegal as the others
