Vanna White just dropped a bombshell about her work schedule on Wheel of Fortune, and fans can’t believe it.

During a chat on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show Wednesday, the 68-year-old co-host, who’s been a staple on the game show for 42 years, cleared up a common misconception after co-host Nate Marino admitted he had only recently learned the show wasn’t aired live every night.

“We film about 34 days a year. That’s it,” White revealed.

As the hosts reacted in disbelief, she added, “But six shows a day. Come on. You could feel bad for me.”

Radio host Elvis Duran wasn’t having it. “I do not feel sorry for you one bit,” he joked. “That sounds like a great job.”

Co-host Danielle Monaro chimed in, amazed by another aspect of White’s work routine. “That’s six different dresses a day!”

White smiled and confirmed, “It is.”

Earlier in the interview, White shared another fun fact—she’s worn over 8,000 different dresses during her time on Wheel of Fortune. Until 2020, she had never repeated an outfit, but a production mistake led to an accidental repeat. After that, the team put extra precautions in place to make sure it never happened again.

Meanwhile, Marino was still stuck on her filming schedule.

“So weird. You have 331 days off a year?” he asked.

“He’s doing the math,” Duran laughed.

“I guess so,” White replied as the hosts cracked up.

Duran then wrapped up the discussion with a sweet compliment: “And no one deserves it more than you. You’re just the best.”

White made her Wheel of Fortune debut in 1982 alongside longtime host Pat Sajak, who retired last year. His final episode aired June 7, almost a year after he announced his departure. He later returned for one last farewell on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune in October.

In June 2023, the show confirmed that American Idol host Ryan Seacrest would be stepping in to take Sajak’s place.

During her radio interview, White acknowledged that Sajak’s exit was a big change for everyone.

“And not just for me,” she said. “For everybody who watched for 41 years. Pat decided to retire, and he’s very happy. I saw him a couple of weeks ago. He looks great.”

She also praised Seacrest, sharing that he’s been doing a fantastic job.

“He said, ‘Look, no one can ever replace Pat Sajak. I’m just here to fill in,’” White recalled.

Monaro jokingly suggested that White should be running the show now.

“I feel like you should be in charge because, like, you’re Vanna White. Like, ‘You listen to me, Ryan Seacrest.’”

White just laughed it off. “I think maybe he would listen to me, but I don’t have anything to say. He’s doing a fine job.”

After a clip of White’s interview was posted on Instagram, fans couldn’t get over her 34-day work year.

“34 days of work in a year and your net worth is over $80 million!!! Youuuu WIN!!” one person commented.

Another added, “An American icon if ever there was one!”

A third joked, “This is why she looks 40… She’s barely worked a day in her life, she’s cracked the code… the fountain of youth.”

For now, White seems to be embracing her new era on the show alongside Seacrest—while still enjoying plenty of well-deserved time off.
