After two years of whispers, Deborra-Lee Furness is finally ready to break her silence on what really went down in her long and crumbling marriage to Hugh Jackman — and she’s putting it all into what insiders are calling a “divorce diary.”

Furness, 69, officially filed for divorce on May 23, 2025, in New York, nearly two years after the couple publicly announced their separation in September 2023. The pair had been married for 27 years.

Sources say the Aussie actress has been pouring her emotions into pages of raw reflections, detailing both the heartbreak and betrayal she claims rocked their union — including Jackman’s reported romance with Broadway star Sutton Foster, which allegedly played a major role in their split.

“Deb’s been desperate to have her side of the story out there,” a source close to her shared. “She’s been writing down all her thoughts, the good and the bad, and logging every detail of this roller coaster divorce.”

And now, Furness is reportedly waiting for the green light from her legal team before she approaches publishers with the tell-all.

“She’s just waiting for her lawyers to clear it. Once that’s done, she’ll be shopping the book around,” the insider revealed.

Furness has already taken a public swipe at Jackman in a spiritual yet scathing statement after filing the divorce papers.

“My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,” she wrote. “It’s a profound wound that cuts deep… Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.”

The former TV host and actress hinted that she’s found strength through the pain, calling the process a path toward “liberation and freedom.”

Still, insiders say this wasn’t the route she wanted to take — but she felt silenced while Jackman was free to move on publicly.

“She’s frustrated,” the source explained. “It’s rare for her to speak out like this, but she’s tired of staying quiet while Hugh gets to do whatever he wants.”

Jackman, now linked romantically to Foster, was reportedly “extremely disappointed” by his ex’s message. According to sources close to the actor, the two had an unspoken agreement not to speak negatively about one another in the press.

“There was no official gag order,” a source close to Jackman said. “But he was shocked. He thought they were both keeping things civil. She didn’t name him directly, but the message was clear.”

The split had dragged on behind the scenes for months as the two worked to divide their $250 million fortune — without a prenup. But after things reportedly got heated, Jackman eventually relented.

“Hugh knows he can’t undo the past,” said one insider. “But it’s unfortunate Deb feels this way — especially since he gave in to all of her divorce requests.”
