A luxury stay in Paris took a frightening turn when a fire broke out at one of the city’s most famous five-star hotels, forcing a group of Hollywood stars to evacuate fast.
Among those caught up in the chaos was Sarah Michelle Gellar, who was reportedly at the Bristol Hotel alongside her Ready or Not 2: Here I Come co-stars when the fire started Wednesday.
According to reports, the blaze broke out in the hotel’s kitchen while around 400 people were inside the building. Some of them were there for a press event tied to the upcoming film, turning what should have been a glamorous day into a tense and unexpected scramble.
The scene quickly escalated as guests were forced out of the iconic hotel and emergency crews rushed in.
More than 100 firefighters reportedly responded to the fire, working to get the situation under control. Two staff members were injured while trying to put out the flames, and another person was also hurt.
Thankfully, the hotel later said all guests were able to return safely.
The Bristol Hotel is no ordinary celebrity hotspot. The ultra-luxury Paris property is known for hosting world leaders during visits with the French president, and it has long been a favorite among major stars. It even appeared in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris, adding even more glamour to its already famous reputation.
But on Wednesday, the elegant hotel became the center of a real-life emergency.
