As the anniversary of Prince’s death approaches, one of his former bandmates is speaking out — and what he remembers is raising eyebrows.
Mark Brown, also known as BrownMark from Prince’s band The Revolution, says the iconic singer was acting noticeably different in the days leading up to his death in April 2016.
According to Brown, Prince showed signs of serious confusion, often forgetting conversations and making sudden, unexplained changes to plans.
The two had even discussed working together again, with Brown flying from California to Minneapolis to meet him. But when he arrived, things took a strange turn.
Brown says he waited at his hotel for days, expecting Prince to pick him up — but never heard from him.
“I didn’t know what was going on,” he recalled, noting he had no way to contact the singer directly.
Eventually, he ran into Prince’s drummer, who helped alert the star. But Prince’s reaction was alarming — he reportedly didn’t even remember arranging the visit.
When they finally met at Paisley Park, Brown said he could see panic on Prince’s face, as if he suddenly realized what he had forgotten.
“His memory was really, really shot at that point,” Brown said.
Looking back, Brown believes the behavior may have been linked to opioid use.
Just days later, on April 21, 2016, Prince was found unresponsive in an elevator at his Minnesota home. He later died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid.
Despite the shocking circumstances, no one was criminally charged in connection with his death. However, a doctor later reached a settlement over federal civil claims tied to an illegal prescription.
Investigators also revealed that Prince had been seeking help shortly before his death. His bodyguard reportedly contacted a doctor because the singer was asking for fluids, and was later seen picking up medication intended to help with opioid withdrawal.

Very sad……..WHY do so many talented people suffer from severe paranoia ?
