A youth football game in Florida spiraled out of control over the weekend — and it ended with a mother in handcuffs after deputies say she took things way too far.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old Renee Lambert was arrested Saturday in Fort Myers after allegedly running onto the field during a Pop Warner game and kicking a child in the middle of a chaotic brawl.
Deputies say they were called to Brooks Park after a fight broke out between players following a play. But what started as a scuffle between kids quickly escalated when Lambert allegedly charged onto the field and inserted herself into the melee.
Video reviewed by investigators reportedly shows her pushing through the crowd before kicking a juvenile player.
Lambert later claimed she was reacting after being hit with a helmet by one of the kids — but authorities say they found no evidence to back that up.
Things only got more intense once deputies tried to step in.
Bodycam footage shows Lambert attempting to walk away as officers approached, leading to a heated confrontation. She can be heard shouting, “Get your hands off me,” while insisting she was the one who had been hit.

At one point, an officer fired back: “I’m mad at an adult for attacking a kid.”
Lambert refused to comply as deputies told her she was being detained, repeatedly arguing and demanding officers go after a player she referred to as “number nine.”
“You’re an adult,” an officer responded during the exchange.
The situation quickly turned physical as deputies worked to restrain her.
She was ultimately arrested and charged with child abuse without great bodily harm and resisting an officer.
Carmine Marceno didn’t hold back when addressing the incident.
“It’s sad that children playing sports becomes a physical confrontation. We need to have law and order. We need to protect everyone,” the sheriff said.
Lambert was booked Saturday night and later released early Sunday morning, according to jail records.
If not Jail, have her do Community Service picking up trash and cleaning up ball fields.
