Frankie Valli is going through a difficult stretch with his health, but the 92-year-old music legend is not ready to walk away from performing.

A representative for the Four Seasons frontman said Valli has faced some “tough times” but is improving and hopes to return to the road.

“He’s getting through them, and he’s improving,” the rep told People. “He is looking forward to being back on the road, and he is not retired.”

The update comes months after Valli abruptly canceled the remaining dates on his farewell tour.

In May, the singer announced that he was taking the rest of the year off to focus on his health.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows,” Valli wrote on Instagram at the time.

He added that he was looking forward to getting healthy and seeing fans again.

Concern grew even more last week when Valli was photographed in Los Angeles for the first time in months.

The singer appeared noticeably thin and was reportedly helped out of a black Mercedes.

Specific details about his health problems have not been made public.

Valli became one of the most recognizable voices of his generation through hits including “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”

Despite his recent health struggles, he has continued to make it clear that music remains a huge part of his life.

Earlier this year, Valli said he would probably still be performing in small bars even if he had never become famous.

“I love music that much,” he said.

For now, fans will have to wait to see when Valli is healthy enough to return to the stage, but his team insists retirement is not part of the plan.
