Tim McGraw Takes Nasty Fall on Stage Mid-Song — Then Gets Right Back Up
Tim McGraw gave fans in Cincinnati a scare Thursday night after taking a hard fall on stage in the middle of one of his biggest hits.
The country superstar was performing “I Like It, I Love It” at Riverbend Music Center on Aug. 27 when things suddenly went sideways.
McGraw had stepped onto an elevated platform near the front of the stage while singing to the crowd. But after taking a step backward, the 59-year-old appeared to lose his footing and went crashing down onto the stage.
The fall looked painful.

Still, McGraw barely missed a beat.
After landing hard on his backside, the three-time Grammy winner quickly pushed himself back up, laughed it off and let the audience carry part of the song while he recovered.
Moments later, McGraw walked back over to the spot where he fell and appeared to show fans what caused the mishap.
“There’s a hole there,” he said, before stomping his boot near the area.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that McGraw’s night had already gotten off to a rocky start. He reportedly took the stage about 40 minutes late because of travel and weather problems.
Despite the delay and the nasty tumble, McGraw continued with the show and appeared to be in good spirits.
The singer is currently out on his 2026 Pawn Shop Guitar Tour and was scheduled to perform again Friday night in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
McGraw has long been known for keeping himself in impressive physical shape, and that may have helped him bounce back so quickly after a fall that could have easily ended much worse.
Fans can probably expect him to be a little more careful around raised platforms for the rest of the tour.
