Actor Jeremy London, best known for his roles on 7th Heaven and Party of Five, sparked concern among fans after revealing that he feared losing his job and housing, prompting an emotional public plea for help.
The 53-year-old actor stunned followers Thursday, November 5, when he shared a troubling message on X, claiming that an unexpected situation involving his employer had threatened the stability he had worked to build.
“Guys… my boss is going through some kind of mental crisis and I may be losing my job and home,” London wrote, adding, “This can’t be happening again.”
The former television star then appealed directly to anyone who might be able to offer him employment and somewhere to stay.
“If anyone has a job and home for me out there, please let me know,” he continued. “I love working a real job on top of acting. I’m a good person. Why does this keep happening to me?? I’m not ok.”
London later admitted that the uncertainty had left him overwhelmed, telling followers he had been struggling to sleep and was having difficulty breathing because of the stress.
The situation was particularly upsetting because, according to London, he had been happier than he had been in years before the sudden trouble with his employer.
Despite his Hollywood career, London explained that he has continued taking physically demanding jobs to support himself between acting projects. He described working outdoors cutting trees, laying stone and operating heavy machinery, emphasizing that he enjoys working with his hands.
When one follower questioned why an established actor would need another job, London offered a candid glimpse into the financial realities of show business.
“Most actors starve otherwise,” he replied.
London first found fame on the NBC drama I’ll Fly Away before becoming a familiar face to television audiences as Griffin Holbrook on Party of Five and Chandler Hampton on 7th Heaven. He also starred in the 1995 cult comedy Mallrats and has continued appearing in independent films, including the 2026 family movie Not My Dog.
However, as concern over his alarming posts spread, London returned to social media Saturday, November 7, with a surprising clarification.
The actor insisted he was not homeless, explaining that he owns a condominium in Florida and had initially spoken out because he was upset about the possibility of leaving Pennsylvania, where he had grown attached to his life and work.
“I promise you this was blown out of proportion. I have a condo in Florida,” he wrote, acknowledging that his original wording had created confusion.
London also pushed back against reports suggesting he was destitute, saying he had been shocked by his employer’s behavior but was not facing the desperate financial circumstances some headlines had implied.
In another encouraging update, he thanked supporters for reaching out and revealed that several potential job opportunities had already emerged. He also said he planned to return to his son and focus on his creative work, with another movie project approaching.
The actor indicated that his attorneys would handle the dispute involving his employer, although he did not publicly explain the full circumstances.
What began as a frightening appeal for help has now taken a more hopeful turn for London, who appears determined to move forward after an unexpectedly turbulent week.
While his original posts raised serious concerns among fans, his latest comments make clear that he has somewhere to live, potential work opportunities and plans to continue acting.
