Tina Turner’s funeral will be a “small private affair” with only a few family members in attendance, revealed her former personal assistant, Eddy Hampton “Armani.” The legendary singer, who passed away at her home in Switzerland last week, had expressed her desire for a modest funeral and to be cremated.

Hampton, who served as Turner’s personal assistant for over two decades, shared insights into her funeral plans. “She did not want a big public funeral. She wanted to be cremated, and I expect it to be a small, very private affair,” Hampton said.

While the funeral will be an intimate gathering of her closest friends and family, he also mentioned the possibility of a memorial concert or tribute event in the future.

The event will primarily cater to Turner’s close friends in Switzerland, along with her manager, indicating that it will not be a large family occasion.

Hampton, who remained in touch with the star after she relocated to Kusnacht, Switzerland in 1994, supported her throughout her journey, including her escape from an abusive marriage to Ike Turner. He witnessed her finding happiness and love with her devoted second husband, Erwin Bach, who was by her side until her passing from natural causes.

For Turner, moving forward meant leaving the past behind, particularly after the heartbreaking loss of her two sons. Raymond tragically took his own life in 2018 at the age of 59, while Ronnie succumbed to cancer in 2022 at the age of 62.

After her relocation to Switzerland, Turner had limited contact with Ike’s two sons, Ike Jr. and Michael, whom she had adopted.

Tina Turner’s legacy as a music icon is unquestionable, and her funeral will be a somber occasion to bid farewell to a remarkable talent. While her fans may not be able to participate directly in this private affair, the possibility of a memorial concert or tribute offers hope for an opportunity to celebrate her life and contributions at a later date.
