Dwayne Johnson and his ex-wife Dany Garcia have been named in some outlandish lawsuits that could’ve changed his net worth forever.

After Dwayne Johnson and his ex-wife Dany Garcia divorced, Garcia went from being Johnsons’s ex-wife to his manager within a year. If that wasn’t impressive enough, Johnson has become close with Garcia’s second husband who is his personal trainer.

While staying close with Garcia has done wonders for Johnson’s personal and professional life, the exes have had some headaches to deal with. Unfortunately for Johnson and Garcia, they have been the target of several lawsuits including one that was for $3 billion.

Since Dwayne Johnson is a world-famous actor and wrestler, most people think of him for his work in the entertainment industry. However, Johnson and his ex-wife Dany Garcia have done more in their life than just work to entertain the masses.

Two of the businesses that Johnson and Garcia used to own together that had nothing to do with Hollywood got them in trouble in 2012. That year, the former couple who’d finalized their divorce roughly four years earlier were sued for almost $2 million.

Tragically, a man named Carlos Costa lost his life and had his Cuban assets seized. After Costa’s family sued for wrongful death benefits, they were able to get millions which they hoped would do big things for them.

According to members of the Costa family, Costa’s grandson got a job working at an investment firm that was owned and operated by Garcia and Johnson. After getting to know the former couple, Costa’s family invested more than $1.8 million in two of Johnson and Garcia’s companies.

A member of the family remarked that they “felt safe that [the money] was going to be backed up by” Johnson. Since he is rich, Costa’s family assumed Johnson “wasn’t going to steal our money because he has his own money – he had a lot of his own money.”

When the investment went awry and the family lost everything, they sued saying that they were bilked “out of more than $1.8 million as part of an ongoing fraud scheme”. In their lawsuit, the family only named Garcia as a defendant, but they claimed that Johnson was a “co-conspirator” that profited from the alleged fraud.

In response to the lawsuit, Garcia’s lawyer Richard Barbara called the allegations “absurd”. Furthermore, Barbara put out the following statement. “There were a lot of people and a lot of banks that suffered as a function of what happened to the real estate market. We feel that is the true source of what created the issues here.”

After the lawsuit was filed, a Miami NBC outlet reported on the news. Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be any news about the result of the lawsuit online, so there is no way to definitively say how things turned out. However, it is worth noting that if Johnson and Garcia lost the lawsuit, that almost certainly would have made news.

Why Dwayne Johnson And His Ex-Wife Dany Garcia Were Sued Because Of The XFL

In 1999, the WWE’s Vince McMahon decided that he wanted to take the sports world by storm. Believing that there was a hole in the football world he could fill, McMahon founded the XFL which only ran for a single season at the time before it shut down in 2021.

Many years after the XFL’s first season failed, McMahon attempted to bring it back only to shut down again amid the COVID-19 pandemic in mid-2020. After that second failure, a group led by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia bought the XFL for $15 million. That purchase resulted in the exes getting sued once again.

According to a man named David Adrian Smith, he “disclosed confidential trade secret information” to a woman named Carol Riddick. Smith described that information was “market analysis, opportunity analysis, strategic analysis and other business information regarding a concept for a minor league or developmental league spring football league.”

Smith claims he told Riddick in an email that she could only reveal the information to her husband Frank Riddick. Despite that, Smith says that the information he provided was shared with Vince McMahon and Dick Ebersol.

When Johnson and Garcia bought the XFL, Smith says that his information was shared with the business partners. Believing that he deserved to be paid for his information, Smith filed a lawsuit on July 20th, 2022 before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

In his lawsuit, Smith named Johnson, Garcia, McMahon, Ebersol, Carol Riddick, and Frank Riddick as defendants. As of the time of this writing, the lawsuit hasn’t proceeded through the legal system very much and there is no way to know what will come of it.

Why Dwayne Johnson Was Named In A $3 Billion Lawsuit

Of all the lawsuits that Dwayne Johnson has been involved in, the most remarkable by far didn’t include his ex-wife Dany Garcia. However, Johnson was far from the only person who was named as a defendant in a lawsuit that sought $3 billion.

In the mid-2000s, a woman named Trenesha Biggers was briefly employed by the WWE. At that time, she briefly appeared on WWE television when she competed in the WWE Diva Search, but she was eliminated during the Top 25 round.

After leaving the WWE behind, Biggers went on to compete for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2008 and 2009. During her TNA tenure, Biggers competed under the name Rhaka Khan and worked with many notable names in the wrestling business.

Roughly a decade after her Total Nonstop Action Wrestling tenure ended, Biggers got herself in legal trouble. In 2019, Biggers was even listed as El Paso’s most wanted fugitive for “interference with child custody”.

In response to the criminal case that was filed against her following that incident, Biggers claimed to be the victim of a vast conspiracy. Going further than that, Biggers filed a lawsuit seeking $3 billion in damages she claimed she was owed due to that alleged conspiracy.

In Biggers’ lawsuit, she named a staggering amount of defendants including the FBI and the state of Texas itself. In a surprising twist, Biggers also named many wrestling personalities including Dwayne Johnson, Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, Maryse Mizanin, Mick Foley, and Nikki Bella among others. Biggers also included Chris Benoit in her lawsuit even though he died more than a decade before she filed it.

After Biggers was told she could move forward with her lawsuit if she paid court fees upfront, she did so. Insider later reported that Biggers’ lawsuit was dismissed in US District Court and the defendants were never served any paperwork.

  1. …”The Rock”….is a creep. He showed himself to be a tool of The Globalists, and he used his persona to murder millions during the Covid Hoax. I hope he dies under a Range Rover…in his garage…and that it takes a long time for the life to be crushed out of him. What a creep.
