Taylor Swift’s latest dance moment is breaking the internet—and not in the way she might’ve hoped. At the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday night, the billionaire pop icon found herself the subject of meme-worthy roasting after her awkward dance moves during Kendrick Lamar’s diss track Not Like Us.

While the 35-year-old singer had a night full of nominations (six to be exact), she left the ceremony empty-handed. But it was her viral dance moves, captured from behind in a now-infamous video, that got everyone talking.

Wearing a bold red dress, matching heels, and a cropped black jacket, Swift was seen bending her knees and bopping back and forth to Lamar’s award-winning track. Some viewers couldn’t help but notice what seemed to be an attempt at the “stanky leg” dance move. But whether she nailed it or not is up for debate. Fans quickly took to social media, turning the clip into a viral sensation.

One user commented, “Not every beat needs a dance. Sometimes, less is more.” Another jokingly added, “She dances like my grandma,” with some poking fun, “Has anyone told her she can’t dance?”

The online reactions were quick to flood in. One even quipped: “She’s 1% Karen, 99% Cringe.” Ouch. Still, others pointed out that Swift’s moves seem far more natural when she’s performing on stage, rather than dancing in the audience.

But despite the backlash, Swift’s dance wasn’t the only moment to capture attention at the Grammys. Lamar made history with Not Like Us, becoming the first artist to win a Grammy for a diss track. He also took home five awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

As for Taylor? We’ll see if another viral dance clip emerges when she supports her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at the Super Bowl next Sunday. Perhaps she’ll save her moves for the big game.
