The death of actor Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter is being investigated as a possible drug overdose, according to newly revealed emergency dispatch details.

Victoria Jones, 34, was found unresponsive early Thursday morning, January 1, at the San Francisco Fairmont Hotel. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Newly obtained 911 dispatch audio classified the call as a “code 3 for the overdose, color change,” suggesting a medical emergency consistent with a potential overdose.

In medical terms, “color change” refers to cyanosis — a condition caused by low oxygen levels in the blood that can result in blue or purple discoloration of the skin, lips, or nails, often linked to heart or lung failure.

San Francisco police and fire crews responded to the Fairmont Hotel around 2:52 a.m. following reports of a medical emergency. When first responders arrived, they discovered a deceased individual who was not immediately identified. NBC Bay Area later reported that law enforcement believes the woman was Victoria Jones, citing a police source.

Authorities have said there is no indication of foul play at this time. The official cause of death has not yet been determined and remains under investigation by the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Neither the Fairmont Hotel nor representatives for Tommy Lee Jones immediately commented on the incident.

Victoria was the daughter of Jones, 79, and his ex-wife Kimberlea Cloughley. The former couple also share a son, Austin Jones, 43.

In recent years, Victoria had faced multiple legal issues. Court records reviewed bshow she was arrested at least twice in the past year, including for drug-related charges. In April 2025, she was taken into custody in Napa County and charged with obstructing a peace officer, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. She pleaded not guilty. Two months later, she was arrested again on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge and also entered a not guilty plea.

Victoria also pursued acting, following in her famous father’s footsteps. She appeared alongside Jones in Men in Black II and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, and made a brief appearance on One Tree Hill in 2003.
