A shocking early-morning crash in London has landed a former reality TV star in serious legal trouble.
Gabrielle Carrington, who once rose to fame on The X Factor as part of the group Miss Dynamix, has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly driving her car into pedestrians outside a nightclub.
According to reports, the incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Sunday on Argyll Street in London’s busy Soho district. What started as a chaotic scene quickly turned into a life-or-death situation.
Authorities say Carrington is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, and drunk driving.
One of the victims, fellow influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska, was reportedly trapped underneath the vehicle and rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. A man in his 50s also suffered serious injuries, while another woman was treated for minor injuries.
Police in London confirmed that no motive has been publicly established at this time, and investigators are not treating the incident as terrorism-related.
Carrington remains in custody and is expected to appear in court at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
For many American readers who may not remember, The X Factor was a hugely popular music competition show in the U.K. that ran from 2004 to 2018 and launched several artists into the spotlight.
